Carrie Genzel

Carrie Genzel, award-winning Canadian actor & producer, native of Vancouver, has worked extensively in Canada and the United States throughout her career spanning over 30 years. In addition to her role as 'Skye Chandler' on ABC's "All My Children," she played two memorable roles on CW's "Supernatural," as well as recurred on two seasons of Tyler Perry's "Sistas," and the final season of AMC's "The Walking Dead."

Her diverse filmography includes "Watchmen," "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus," "Dead Rising: Watchtower," "They're Watching," "The Layover, directed by William H, Macy, "Jennifer's Body," directed by Karyn Kusama. and more.

She won the Best Actress award at the Los Angeles International Underground Film Festival in 2012 for the lead role of 'Emma' in "The Ballerina and the Rocking Horse."

As a creator and producer, Carrie is developing a variety of unscripted projects for television.

She is a mental health advocate who launched the blog State Of Slay ™ and is an advisory board member of Attitudes In Reverse®, an organization that provides anti-bullying and suicide prevention programming to students.

Echoes of the South™, my original documentary-style series exploring the intersection of Southern history, folklore, local legends, and reported paranormal experiences, is now streaming.

As host and executive producer, I travel throughout the American South, uncovering the history and personal stories behind reportedly haunted locations, unexplained experiences, and mysteries that continue to echo through the places we visit.

Through historical research, firsthand interviews, and on-location investigations, Echoes of the South™ approaches each story with curiosity, respect, and an open mind.

Macon Chose Me

Since relocating to Macon, Carrie has found creative inspiration in the city’s unique blend of music history, layered storytelling, and Southern Gothic atmosphere. What began as an appreciation for Macon’s architecture and culture soon became a deeper connection to the people, legends, and rich sense of place that continue to shape the city today.

Through her work hosting Macon Beyond in partnership with Visit Macon, Carrie has explored many of the city’s historic landmarks, hidden histories, and unexplained lore, experiences that helped inspire the creation of Echoes of the South™. Drawn to the spaces where history, mystery, and human experience intersect, Carrie continues to develop storytelling projects that preserve the voices, atmosphere, and spirit of the American South.
